KODEx is a coding reference. It shows what CMS, FDA and NLM publish. It isn’t billing advice and doesn’t decide coverage, payment or what can be billed together.
What is real in these demos
Every screen is drawn from the live app as of October 4, 2026, and every figure was checked against the publisher’s file. The J1745 answer, its sources and its tab counts are what search returns today. MUE limits, OPPS status, APC and rates, NDCs, billing quantities and package wording come from the October 2026 CMS files and the openFDA NDC directory; sheet cells were computed with the app’s own code, which is why drugs show FDA’s generic names and some vials read “—” where FDA does not say single- or multi-dose. The manual text is page 23 of the Medicare Claims Processing Manual, Chapter 17. Carton photos are NLM DailyMed label images. The J1720 change is the real July-to-October crosswalk change. OPPS: the October file has 19,278 lines and KODEx loads 18,431, leaving out 847 ADA dental codes. MUE: 33,483 lines across three tables, 33,345 once 138 dental codes are left out. ICD-10-CM FY 2027: 98,403 codes. The sheet entries, guideline notes, people’s names and email addresses are examples. The auto-load screen is the staff view.
